Dear Spring School Participants,

Wow!  It is hard to believe that Spring School is upon us once again.  We hope that everyone had a successful season and are looking forward to the upcoming competitions and Spring School!
With Dawson Creek hosting their own Spring School the first and last week of April and after consulting the Fort St. John coaches, we have combined Intermediate and Senior sessions for the first week of April.  Please watch to see if the times change the last week of April prior to test day as well.  From Monday, April 5 to Thursday, April 8 the times are as follows:

Monday, April 5,  Wednesday April 7:
3:45 – 4:15 Group A       Freeskate
4:15 – 4:45 Group A       Dance
4:45 – 5:00 Groups A/B Stroking
5:00 – 5:45 Groups B/C Freeskate
5:45 – 6:15 Groups B/ C Dance
6:15 – 6:30 Groups B/ C Stroking

Tuesday , April 6 & Thursday, April 8:
3:45 – 4:15 Group A       Freeskate

Because of a hockey tournament, we will run the shortened times on Sunday April 11, it also has to start later:

5:00 – 5:30 Group A     Freeskate
5:30 – 6:00 Group A     Dance
6:00 – 6:15 Group A/B Stroking
6:15 – 7:00 Group B     Freeskate
7:00 – 7:30 Group B     Dance
7:30 – 7:45 Group B/C Stroking

Starting Monday April 12 the times will return to what it is on the pamphlet.

Please ensure that you read through the Spring School brochure carefully as there are some changes in our Spring School policies.  The last couple of seasons, we have had many skaters registering last minute or showing up at the rink with no paperwork, so to ensure that this does not continue, we have had to impose a late registration fee of $30 like other spring and summer schools impose.  All registrations forms must be submitted by Monday, March 29th/2010 with at least 50% deposit and and remainder of the payment provided in the form of a post dated cheque dated no later than April 5, 2010.  Secondly, we will not be prorating days this year due to the time it is requiring of our volunteers.  For example:  One request to prorate last year was for fifteen minutes of ice twice a week.  Packages will be available as full packages or available by the week only. And Intermediate and Senior skaters will continually be offered freeskate packages only.

Thank you for your understanding and enjoy the rest of your season!

Yours in skating,
